Christa Théret, born on June 25, 1991, is a prominent French actress recognized for her captivating performances in both film and poetry. She gained widespread acclaim for her role as Lola in the hit film LOL (Laughing Out Loud) and for portraying Andrée Heuschling in Renoir.

Théret's journey into acting commenced at the tender age of 11 when she was discovered by a casting director during a school playground visit. This led to her debut in the 2005 film The Axe, where she played the character Betty, the daughter of Bruno and Marlène Davert, portrayed by José Garcia and Karin Viard.

Her talent was further showcased in 2007 with the film Et toi, t'es sur qui?, which was selected for the Cannes Film Festival’s Un Certain Regard category. At 17, she left Lycée Jules Ferry in Paris to focus on her burgeoning acting career. Her breakthrough came in 2008 when she starred alongside Sophie Marceau in the successful LOL, earning her a César nomination for Best Promising Actress.

In subsequent years, she appeared in various notable projects, including The Clink of Ice (2009), The Man Who Laughs (2012), and Renoir (2013). Théret has also ventured into music videos, featuring in works by Foals and Yung Lean.
