Elizabeth Hartman

Mary Elizabeth Hartman (December 23, 1943 – June 10, 1987) was a talented American actress who left an indelible mark on the film industry during her brief but impactful career. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Selina D'Arcy, a blind girl, in the 1965 classic film *A Patch of Blue*. Her performance alongside the esteemed Sidney Poitier earned her the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress, as well as nominations for both the Academy Award for Best Actress and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama, showcasing her remarkable talent early on.
