Ismail Bashey
Ismail Bashey, a talented performer from Bombay, India, embarked on his acting journey at a young age, enthusiastically participating in a variety of school dramas, ranging from Shakespearean classics to Molière's works. His professional career took flight in Musical Theatre, where he showcased his talents in productions such as "Grease," "They Are Playing Our Song," and "Best of Broadway." Ismail honed his skills in jazz ballet under the mentorship of esteemed instructors Karla Singh and Shiamak Davar.
Seeking greater opportunities, Ismail relocated to New York City, where he immersed himself in the vibrant arts scene. He spent three years training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, which significantly shaped his craft. During his time in New York, he also became a familiar face on South Asian cable networks like ITV and ATN, where he hosted music video segments and shared Bollywood insights.
Ismail ventured into auditions and secured guest roles in independent films, including "The Tic Code," which starred Gregory Hines. His acting prowess further shone through his role in the popular Zee TV drama "Mausam," filmed both in New York and Bombay. Recently, he garnered acclaim for his performance in the independent film "Wings of Hope," winning the Best Actor award at the Cinevue International Film Festival, solidifying his status as a rising star in the industry.
