Makoto Ogawa

Makoto Ogawa, known in Japanese as 小川麻琴, is a celebrated former member of the iconic J-pop group Morning Musume. She made her debut with the group in August 2001, joining alongside fellow members Takahashi Ai, Niigaki Risa, and Konno Asami. Ogawa quickly became a fan favorite, contributing to the group's distinct sound and vibrant performances.

On April 28, 2006, Ogawa announced her decision to graduate from Morning Musume, a move prompted by her desire to study English in New Zealand. After her departure, she graduated from Hello! Project on March 31, 2009, alongside other members of the Elder Club, marking the end of an era for the collective. Subsequently, she joined Dream Morning Musume, a special reunion project that brought together former members of the original lineup.

Despite stepping away from the entertainment industry on March 31, 2015, Ogawa made a comeback just a year later, reigniting her career. Throughout her journey, she has left an indelible mark on the J-pop scene, showcasing her talent and dedication.
