Colton Tran's foray into the world of film began at just 12 years old when he was introduced to Final Cut Pro. Captivated by the art of filmmaking, he swiftly mastered the craft, directing, producing, and editing his own independent projects throughout his teenage years.

After completing high school in Layton, Utah, Tran directed the short film "Monstrosity," which gained traction on the film festival circuit, earning accolades and catching the attention of industry professionals in Los Angeles. This success led him to relocate to Hollywood with his producing partner, Laura Young.

Within two months of arriving, Tran secured representation, signing with a manager and connecting with an agent from Creative Artists Agency (CAA). His breakout role came in 2014 when he appeared in the Disney Channel original movie "Cloud 9," an experience that enhanced his skills in directing and actor collaboration.

Since establishing himself in Hollywood, Tran has directed a variety of projects, including a four-episode web series for Jennette McCurdy entitled "What’s Next For Sarah" and several music videos for The Girl and The Dreamcatcher, which aired on Disney Channel. He also directed an episode of Awesomeness TV's horror anthology "Sleep Tight" and starred in the horror film "Nocturne," which premiered on Showtime.

Most recently, Tran launched his mini-series "Scarytale Ending," featuring a short film titled "Cruella." His award-winning short film "Killer Date" also gained recognition on the festival circuit, and he directed Todrick Hall’s music video for "I Like Boys." Tran has appeared in the latest seasons of Freeform's "Grownish" and Netflix's "GLOW." Currently, he is working on the dark horror comedy feature "8 Bodies," slated to begin production soon, alongside a stylized slasher film titled "Spook," expected to start next year.
