Owen Cooper
Owen Cooper, born on December 5, 2009, in Warrington, England, is a talented young actor who initially aspired to be a footballer. However, his passion for acting ignited after he was inspired by Tom Holland’s remarkable performance in the film “The Impossible.” Fanatically following Holland’s career, Cooper took up drama lessons to hone his craft.
His big break came when he was cast in a murder-themed series produced by Stephen Graham, who sought fresh British talent for a pivotal role. Out of more than 500 hopefuls, Cooper was selected for this project, which was filmed from July to October 2024. The series premiered in March 2025 and quickly gained international acclaim. The Evening Standard praised Cooper’s debut, calling it “the best debut performance by a child actor to date.” This marked the beginning of a remarkable journey, as he won an Emmy Award later that year, earning the distinction of being the youngest Emmy winner in history. Almost simultaneously, he secured a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor, catapulting him to global fame before he even reached adulthood.
Despite his rapid rise to stardom, Cooper remains grounded and humble. When asked about his post-award plans, he simply stated, “I’ll go to school after I sleep.” In the years that followed, he took on supporting roles in projects like Film Club, Whispering Hills, and Cry to Heaven, and even appeared in a music video released in 2025. To date, Cooper has amassed a total of 11 awards, including both an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
