Jai Sampath

Jai Sampath, widely recognized simply as Jai, is an acclaimed Indian actor celebrated for his contributions to Tamil cinema. Born into a musical family as the nephew of renowned composer Deva, Jai initially pursued a career as a keyboardist in the film industry. His acting journey commenced with a supporting role in the 2002 film Bagavathi, which laid the groundwork for his future successes.

In 2007, Jai landed a pivotal role in the sports drama Chennai 600028, directed by Venkat Prabhu. This film not only became a cult favorite but also showcased Jai's potential as a leading actor. He further solidified his reputation with his performance as a jobless youth from Madurai in the 2008 hit Subramaniapuram, which resonated deeply with audiences.
