Helena Dalli

Helena Dalli, born in 1979, first gained national recognition as Miss World Malta, representing her country in the international Miss World pageant later that same year. With a strong commitment to public service, she has been a dedicated Member of Parliament for the Labour Party since 1996, contributing to Maltese politics for over two decades. From 2013 to 2018, Dalli held the position of Minister for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs, and Civil Liberties, where she focused on promoting social equity and consumer rights within the Maltese community.

In addition to her political career, Dalli ventured into acting, securing a notable role as the determined policewoman Maria Cassar in the 1984 film Final Justice, featuring Joe Don Baker. This movie later gained a cult following when it was humorously critiqued on the popular television show Mystery Science Theater 3000 in 1999, bringing renewed attention to her performance.
