Charlie Cox
Charlie Thomas Cox, born on December 15, 1982, is a talented English actor celebrated for his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil across seven projects within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He gained significant recognition for leading the acclaimed television series Daredevil, which aired from 2015 to 2018, and is set to reprise his role in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again, scheduled for release in 2025.
Cox's acting career includes notable performances, such as Owen Sleater in HBO's Boardwalk Empire during its second and third seasons (2011–2012) and Jonathan Hellyer Jones in the biographical film The Theory of Everything (2014). He also starred in the Irish drama series Kin from 2021 to 2023 and appeared in the Netflix miniseries Treason in 2022. His breakthrough came in 2007 with the fantasy film Stardust, which marked the beginning of his ascent in the industry, particularly in British productions.
In 2008, he made his West End debut in a revival of Harold Pinter's plays, The Lover and The Collection. Following a series of successful performances in the 2010s, Cox starred in a stage adaptation of Pinter's Betrayal, first in the West End and then on Broadway. In 2025, he will also make his video game debut as Gustave in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
