Julia Fox, born on February 2, 1990, in Milan, Italy, is a talented Italian-American actress and filmmaker renowned for her breakout role in the 2019 film *Uncut Gems*. Her performance as a showroom saleswoman and the mistress of Howard Ratner, portrayed by Adam Sandler, earned her a nomination for the Breakthrough Actor Award at the 2019 Gotham Awards.

Raised by her Italian mother and American father, Fox moved to New York City at the age of six and spent her childhood in Yorkville, Manhattan. Before entering the entertainment industry, she dabbled in various service jobs and even worked for six months as a dominatrix. Fox initially made her mark as a clothing designer, co-founding a successful women's knitwear line called Franziska Fox.

In addition to acting, Fox is an accomplished model, appearing in the final nude edition of *Playboy* in 2015, and she has showcased her artistry through photography and painting, including two self-published photography books: *Symptomatic of a Relationship Gone Sour: Heartburn/Nausea* (2015) and *PTSD* (2016).
