Tony Aitken is a seasoned English actor celebrated for his diverse roles across numerous television series. His early education took place at Belmont Abbey School in Hereford from 1959 to 1964, where he became involved in the school’s amateur dramatic society, participating in various revues, plays, and Gilbert and Sullivan performances. It was during this time that he collaborated with fellow student Neville Buswell. Following his passion for the performing arts, he pursued a training program as a Drama and Art Teacher at St. Mary's University College in London from 1964 to 1967.

Over a remarkable career spanning more than 45 years, Aitken has made notable appearances in beloved television shows, including "The Sweeney," "Porridge," "The Mistress," "Agatha Christie's Poirot," "Holby City," "Casualty," "End of Part One," and "No. 73." His film credits are equally impressive, featuring roles in productions such as "Robin Hood Junior," "Jabberwocky," "Quincy's Quest," and the critically acclaimed "The Remains of the Day," where he portrayed the Postmaster. Additionally, he appeared in "Sharpe’s Revenge" as a clerk at the war office, delivering orders that would send the titular character to Yorkshire.
