Andrey Fomin
Andrey Vladimirovich Fomin, born on February 3, 1964, in Moscow, is a prominent Russian actor, producer, and television personality known for his dynamic contributions to the arts and entertainment industry. He graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute in 1988, where he studied under the esteemed Alla Kazanskaya during the transformative period of perestroika. Subsequently, he honed his craft at advanced courses for screenwriters and directors led by Vladimir Menchov.
Fomin's theatrical career flourished at the Vakhtangov Theater, where he performed from 1988 to 1991. Notably, he is recognized for founding several annual social events and was the face of the satirical "Серебряная калоша" (The Silver Gala) from 1996 to 2011, a parody award show facilitated by Radio Serebriany dojd.
His stage performances include significant roles at the Moscow State Theater, such as Figaro in a production directed by Kirill Serebrennikov and Ancel in Tracy Letts' "Killer Joe," directed by Javor Gardev. In 2014, he portrayed Jeanne de Yaroslava Poulinovitch under Ilia Rotenberg's direction. Since May 2017, he has been captivating audiences as a circus director in "Le Cirque," adapted from the classic musical film by Grigori Alexandrov.
In addition to his theatrical endeavors, Fomin showcased his talents on the Russian version of "Dancing with the Stars" in 2011, partnered with Albina Djanabayeva, a former member of the group VIA Gra. He also directs the program "The Great Social Encyclopedia" on the Russian channel STS, further solidifying his influence in the entertainment sphere.
