Monika Absolonová
Monika Absolonová, born on September 27, 1976, in Benešov, is a celebrated Czech singer, actress, and television presenter, widely recognized for her dynamic contributions to the performing arts. She first showcased her vocal talents at the tender age of seven by joining the Kühn Children's Choir and later honed her skills under prominent mentors including Lída Nopová and Eduard Klezl. Her debut album, released in 1993, was titled "Monika," marking the beginning of her successful musical career.
Absolonová gained significant acclaim for her role in the musical "Dracula," where she shared the stage with the renowned chansonnier Renata Drössler. She has since starred in numerous productions, including "The Ratman," "Rebelová," "Noc na Karlštejně," and beloved musicals by Michal David such as "Cleopatra," "The Three Musketeers," and "Angelika." Her portrayal of Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl" earned her the prestigious Thalia Award in 2011.
