Aizzah Fatima

1 title Acting

Aizzah Fatima is a talented actress and writer hailing from New York City, with roots in Mississippi. Initially trained as a microbiologist, Aizzah shifted gears to pursue a career in the arts, leaving behind her position as an ads engineer at Google. This bold move has allowed her to fully immerse herself in her creative passions. She is a proud graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she honed her craft under the mentorship of renowned acting coach Wynn Handman.

Aizzah's on-screen credits include appearances in notable series such as HBO's "High Maintenance" and CBS's "The Good Wife." She also starred alongside Annette O'Toole in the short film "Stuff." Currently, she is in production for the lead role in the feature film "My Cousin Sister's Wedding," a project she co-wrote with Emmy-winning director Iman Zawahry.

As a writer, Aizzah has received widespread acclaim for her one-woman comedy play, "Dirty Paki Lingerie," which was developed alongside Matt Hoverman and Wynn Handman. The play has garnered sell-out performances and critical praise at prestigious venues such as The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and The Flea Theater in NYC. It has toured internationally, including a tour in Pakistan sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and a significant 15-city tour across the UK in 2016. "Dirty Paki Lingerie" made history as the first American play invited to the International Theater Festival of Turkmenistan, and The Wall Street Journal lauded it for challenging stereotypes of Muslim women in America. The production has also received nominations for a Broadway World award and a Manchester Theatre Award in the UK.
