Juanin Clay
Juanin Clay, born Juanin Clay de Zalduondo on November 26, 1949, was an American actress known for her work in film and television. She gained attention for her role in the 1983 drama-thriller movie WarGames. Clay was considered for the part of Wilma Deering in the television series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century; however, she lost the role to Erin Gray, who returned to reprise her character from the film. Despite this setback, Clay made an appearance in the Buck Rogers episode "Vegas in Space," portraying Marla Landers, a character reminiscent of Deering who briefly partners with Rogers.
Throughout her career, Clay guest-starred in various television series, including Father Murphy, L.A. Law, and The Edge of Night, where she originated the character Raven Alexander before Sharon Gabet took over. In 1985, she portrayed Jacqueline Kennedy in the mini-series Robert Kennedy & His Times and had a minor role in WarGames.
Clay's educational background includes attendance at The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, Connecticut, followed by her graduation from Smith College. She later obtained a Master's in Education from Harvard University.
The circumstances surrounding her death, which occurred on March 12, 1995, remain unclear, with some sources attributing it to breast cancer, while others, including the user-edited Internet Movie Database, cite a heart condition as the cause.
