Geri Reischl, a talented child actress, began her journey in the entertainment industry at the Melodyland Theatre in Anaheim, California, where her exceptional skills caught the attention of a talent agent. This led to numerous commercial appearances, including a significant contract with Mattel toys. Geri made her mark on the big screen with roles in films such as The Brotherhood of Satan (1971) and Poor Albert and Little Annie (1972).

A gifted singer, Geri showcased her musical talents with her band, the "Sand Dabs," performing at renowned venues like Magic Mountain, Knott's Berry Farm, and the iconic Palomino Club in North Hollywood during the early 1970s. She shared the stage with legendary performers, including a stint alongside Sammy Davis Jr. in his Lake Tahoe nightclub act, toured with Canadian star René Simard, and graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry.

Geri is perhaps best known for stepping in as "Jan Brady" in The Brady Bunch Variety Hour (1976), appearing in nine specials during the 1976-77 season. Her portrayal, often referred to as "Fake Jan," has become a point of humor in popular culture, being parodied on shows like The Simpsons (1989) and Tiny Toon Adventures (1990).
