Ludi Boeken, born in 1951 in Amsterdam, is a multifaceted Dutch film producer, director, and actor. He is also the father of actress Julia Levy-Boeken.
Boeken's journey in the film industry began with his education at the London Film School, where he studied from 1970 to 1973, followed by further studies at Tel Aviv University from 1973 to 1976. Before making his mark in film, he worked as a war correspondent for the BBC and various Dutch television networks, reporting from regions such as the Middle East, South America, Central America, and Africa.
As a prominent figure in the film sector, Boeken is a co-founder of Acajou Films, collaborating with Pascal Judelewicz to produce compelling narratives. His expertise in media extended to leadership roles; between 2004 and 2007, he served as the executive director of Terranova, a German television station, where he contributed significantly to programming and production.
