Don Tjernagel

Don Tjernagel, hailing from Waterloo, Iowa, embarked on his stand-up comedy journey in 1997. Initially an aspiring football player, Don's athletic career was cut short due to a serious injury during spring practice at the University of Northern Iowa. On a spontaneous decision, he turned to comedy, quickly gaining traction in the entertainment scene. His rising popularity soon landed him performances at renowned Las Vegas venues, including the Casino Royale Volcano Lounge, Bourbon Street Hotel, The Monte Carlo, and the Las Vegas Hilton. Notably, he made history as the youngest comedian to headline his own show on the iconic Vegas Strip.

In August 2003, Don authored a book titled *American Infidel*, which chronicled his experiences as a traveling comedian. The book offered candid insights into his personal life, particularly his romantic escapades, while also articulating his views on the First Amendment and American culture.

In 2008, Don ventured into recording his performances, releasing his first DVD, *Smut*. He has continued to produce and distribute his stand-up material in both DVD and CD formats. His most recent release, *Filthy*, came out on July 12, 2011, further solidifying his presence in the comedy world. Through his unique blend of humor and commentary, Don Tjernagel remains a notable figure in the realm of stand-up comedy.
