Gerrison Machado is an emerging talent in the entertainment industry, excelling as an actor, writer, and director. Recently, he made his mark in the Amazon thriller series "The Power," where he portrays Matty Cleary-Lopez, a surly and overlooked middle child. Sharing the screen with acclaimed actors Toni Collette and John Leguizamo, Gerrison's character navigates the complexities of adolescence within a dystopian setting where young women possess the power to electrocute at will. This gripping series, inspired by Naomi Alderman's award-winning novel, premiered in 2022.
Following the completion of "The Power," Gerrison took on a pivotal role in the feature film "1-800-Hot-Nite," portraying O'Neill Fife, a troubled youth grappling with deep emotional struggles. This film, which also debuted in 2022, chronicles a transformative night in the lives of three marginalized teenagers.
At just 14 years old, Gerrison showcased his creative skills by writing and directing the short film "Connection," which earned him the Best Director accolade at The Sydney Indie Short Film Festival in 2020.
Currently, he is involved in producing, directing, and starring in the pilot "Guns & Ashes." When he’s not on set, Gerrison indulges his passion for music by playing guitar, brainstorming new film ideas, training in martial arts, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
