Pippa Scott

Philippa Scott, born on November 10, 1935, in Los Angeles, California, was a prominent American actress whose career spanned several decades, beginning in the 1950s. She was the daughter of actress Laura Straub and screenwriter Allan Scott, with a family background enriched by the arts, including her uncle, Adrian Scott, a blacklisted screenwriter.

In 1964, she married Lee Rich, a pioneering partner at Lorimar Productions, and the couple welcomed two children before their divorce in 1983. Despite their separation, Scott and Rich maintained a strong friendship until his passing in 2012.

Throughout the 1970s, Scott continued to build her acting portfolio with numerous television roles while also pursuing her education at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where she studied landscape architecture. Her versatility and dedication to her craft made her a well-respected figure in the industry.

In the 1990s, Scott shifted her focus towards humanitarian efforts, notably engaging in advocacy for human rights. She contributed to the Commission of Experts established by the United Nations Security Council under Resolution 780, examining the grave violations of international humanitarian law that occurred during the Bosnian genocide.
