Lou Salvador Jr. (December 4, 1940 – April 19, 2008) was a prominent Filipino actor, often referred to as "The James Dean of the Philippines" due to his striking on-screen presence and intense performances. Born into a family with a rich entertainment legacy, he was the son of Lou Salvador, a celebrated basketball player who transitioned into film and stage production. Under his father’s guidance, Lou Salvador Jr. starred in notable films such as *Bad Boy* (1957) and *Barkada* (1958), establishing himself as a contract star with LVN Pictures.

Throughout his career, Salvador Jr. captivated audiences with his charm and talent, contributing significantly to the Philippine cinema of his time. However, in the late 1970s, he chose to step away from the film industry, eventually relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada.

His life came to an end on April 19, 2008, when he succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 67, just months shy of his birthday. Lou Salvador Jr. is laid to rest at Palm Eastern Cemetery in Las Vegas, where his legacy continues to be remembered by fans and the film community alike.
