Wahid Bouzidi (Arabic: وحيد بوزيدي), born on July 9, 1978, in Villepinte, France, and passing away on August 20, 2023, in Marrakech, Morocco, was a prominent Franco-Algerian comedian and actor whose work resonated deeply with audiences. He rose to fame as a member of the Jamel Comedy Club from 2006 to 2008 before embarking on a successful series of one-man shows.

The youngest of ten siblings, Bouzidi faced profound personal loss at the age of 15 with the deaths of both his parents. Following this tragedy, he moved in with his older brother Ahmed, who became his guardian. His grief found expression through theater, particularly with the Guez Guez troupe in Gagny, where he honed his talent for performance.

Bouzidi’s breakthrough came in 2004 when director Guy Jacques cast him in the film *Ze Film*. He further developed his craft with theater classes in Bondy. In 2005, he was approached by Kader Aoun for the Jamel Comedy Club, leading to his debut in stand-up comedy with his first piece, "Le Gitan." His comedic repertoire expanded to include acclaimed shows like *Wahid Se Lache* and *Graisse Anatomie*.

In film, he starred in notable comedies such as *Case Départ*, *Beur Sur La Ville*, and *Alad'2*. He also showcased his talent on television, appearing in the series *Tongs et paréo* in 2009 and *Captain Marleau* in 2017. His recent work included the poignant show *Wahid… Il Se Relève*, reflecting on his health struggles and personal experiences.

Tragically, Bouzidi suffered a stroke while vacationing in Marrakech, leading to his untimely death. He was laid to rest in Algeria, close to Tolga, leaving behind a legacy
