Willow Hale is a multifaceted American actress and director whose career spans several decades. She earned her degree from The University of Texas at Austin and soon after, participated in a summer acting program at PCPA in Santa Maria, California, where she had the opportunity to work alongside a young Robin Williams. Hale spent a significant portion of her career in New York City from 1976 to 1989, honing her craft under the guidance of renowned instructors like Uta Hagen and Herbert Berghof at H.B. Studios. During this time, she performed in innovative plays alongside celebrated actors such as Bill Hickey, Barbara Coggin, Wesley Addy, and Celeste Holm, and appeared in several works by Horton Foote.

In January 1979, she collaborated with Robert Armin, who recorded her music, leading to the release of her debut album, *A Simple String of Wonder*, 25 years later. During her New York tenure, she also opened for folk legend Dave Van Ronk in November 1980, starred on Broadway in *Strider*, and appeared in the iconic film *Ghostbusters* shortly after completing the 1983 NYC Marathon. After becoming a SAG actor in 1979, she transitioned to Los Angeles, where she appeared in the acclaimed series *thirtysomething* and studied under Milton Katselas. After a hiatus from the screen, Hale returned to acting in 2009, contributing to projects like *Two-Bit Waltz* and *Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior*, while also directing two short films.
