Anthony E. Cabral
Anthony E. Cabral, widely recognized as “ACE,” is a distinguished filmmaker and in-demand assistant director with nearly three decades of experience in the realms of film, television, and video production. His journey began at Missouri State University, where he earned a degree in Mass Media with a focus on Film Studies and Production. Over the years, he has expertly worked on a diverse array of projects, ranging from modest independent films to high-profile productions for Disney.
In addition to his creative endeavors, Mr. Cabral is an active participant in several prestigious industry organizations, including the Directors Guild of America (DGA), the Producers Guild of America (PGA), and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA). He holds various committee positions within the DGA, such as serving on the First Assistant Director Committee and the Latino Committee, and has recently been elected as an alternate for the Eastern AD/UPM Council.
Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Cabral is dedicated to uplifting the film community. For over 24 years, he has volunteered as a Theater Manager at the Sundance Film Festival and has contributed to the education of future filmmakers by teaching Production Assistant Training Classes. Currently, he serves as the Lead Instructor for the Central Illinois Film & TV Production Training Program. He frequently shares his insights as a guest speaker at numerous institutions, including Missouri State University and Northwestern University, as well as at organizations like Chicago’s Free Spirit Media and the Spokane Film Project.
