Zoe Tay, a celebrated actress and former model from Singapore, is often referred to as the "Queen of Caldecott Hill" and affectionately known as "Ah Jie," a term denoting seniority in the acting community. Her journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of 16 when she ventured into modeling, earning the title of Model of the Year in 1987. Tay's acting career took off after she won the inaugural Star Search in 1988, leading to a three-year contract with the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation, now Mediacorp.

Initially hesitant about acting, Tay discovered her passion through her role in the 1991 drama *Crime and Passion*. Her portrayal of a materialistic young woman in *Pretty Faces* marked a turning point, propelling her to fame. She enjoyed remarkable success, securing a spot in the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes at the Star Awards for a decade starting from 1994. In 1996, her talent was further recognized when she won the Best Actress award for *The Golden Pillow*.

Beyond television, Tay has made notable film appearances, including a heart-wrenching role in *Love Cuts* (2010) and her first English-speaking role in *Mister John* (2013).
