Mary Wiseman

Mary Wiseman, the youngest of four children born to Dorothy and Kevin Wiseman, grew up in both Milford, Pennsylvania, and Gaithersburg, Maryland. Her passion for the performing arts blossomed early, as she participated in the DC Shakespeare Theatre’s outreach program during high school. Wiseman pursued her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts at Boston University before enhancing her skills at the prestigious Juilliard School's Drama Division from 2011 to 2015. During her time at Juilliard, she formed lasting friendships, notably with Mary Chieffo, who would later join the cast of Star Trek: Discovery. In 2013, she began a relationship with classmate Noah Averbach-Katz, and the couple tied the knot on February 16, 2019.

Throughout her career, Wiseman has made a name for herself on stage. She has appeared in significant productions such as Nitzan Halperin's *Sow and Weep* in 2008 at Boston University, Ariel Carson's *I Wanted it to Have a How & I Wanted it to Have a Verb* in 2011 at Dixon Place, and portrayed the roles of Betsy and Lindsay in *Clybourne Park* in 2013 with the Chautauqua Theater Company. In addition to these performances, Wiseman has contributed to new works at prominent venues like PS 122, The Public Theater, Soho Rep, and New York Theatre Workshop, showcasing her versatility and dedication to the craft.
