Zhang Yixing (张艺兴), widely recognized as Lay (레이) and internationally as Lay Zhang, was born on October 7, 1991. He is a multifaceted Chinese artist renowned for his talents as a rapper, singer-songwriter, dancer, actor, and producer. Lay is best known as a member of the acclaimed South Korean boy band EXO and its sub-unit EXO-M.

In 2015, he established his own agency, Zhang Yixing Studio, to manage his solo endeavors and also published his autobiography, "Standing Firm at 24." The following year, he released his debut mini-album, "Lose Control," which achieved significant success, reaching the top position on the Gaon Album Chart and the fourth spot on Billboard's US World Albums chart. Over the course of his solo career, Lay has composed and released more than 100 tracks, including four studio albums and five mini-albums. In 2020, he expanded his entrepreneurial pursuits by founding Chromosome Entertainment Group, where he serves as CEO.
