Christien Anholt
Christien Alexis Anholt, born on February 25, 1971, in London, is a distinguished English actor celebrated for his performances on stage, television, and film. He rose to prominence as Nigel Bailey in the adventure series *Relic Hunter*, which captivated audiences for three seasons from 1999 to 2002.
Anholt's acting journey began at the young age of 17 when he secured the role of Hans in the film *Reunion* (1988). His compelling performance earned him a Best Actor nomination at the prestigious 1989 Cannes Film Festival, followed by a win for Best Actor at the E'Febo Doro awards in Sicily in 1990. His talents caught the attention of renowned playwright Harold Pinter, who facilitated Anholt's casting in *Another Time*, where he starred alongside Albert Finney. This connection led to a role in Franco Zeffirelli’s *Hamlet* (1990), alongside Mel Gibson.
Throughout his career, Anholt has collaborated with notable talents, featuring in productions such as *One Against the Wind*, *The Power of One*, and *Money For Nothing*, which garnered him critical acclaim. He also appeared in *Seventeen* opposite Rachel Weisz and *Hard Times* with Alan Bates. His versatility led to a nomination at the Geneva Film Festival for *The Harpist* in 1997.
In addition to his screen work, Anholt has returned to the stage, performing in Terence Rattigan's *In Praise Of Love* and Pinter’s *The Hothouse*.
