Sonny Valicenti

Sonny Valicenti, an accomplished actor, is poised to reprise his role in the highly acclaimed second season of David Fincher's gripping series "Mindhunter." His cinematic journey began to gain momentum in 2017 when he appeared in Steven Spielberg’s political drama "The Post," alongside iconic actors Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. Valicenti showcased his comedic chops in the 2016 holiday film "Office Christmas Party," where directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon tailored a role specifically for him after their encounter during an Apple commercial shoot.

Valicenti's television credits are impressive, featuring roles in well-known series such as Tig Notaro's "One Mississippi" on Amazon, Netflix's "Lady Dynamite," and FX's critically acclaimed "You're the Worst." Additionally, in 2015, he wrote, directed, and starred in the short film "Final Scene," which explores the breakup of the legendary comedy duo Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis; this film was showcased at the Austin Film Festival and Dances with Films.

On the theatrical front, Sonny has graced Off-Broadway stages in productions like "Romeo & Juliet" and "Henry V," as well as regional works, including "The Institute of Memory" at the Public Theater and "The Children" at the Theatre at Boston Court, the latter receiving high praise from the LA Times. Hailing from Barrington, Illinois, Valicenti discovered his passion for acting in high school before earning a BFA in acting from the California Institute of the Arts. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
