Hümeyra
Hümeyra Akbay, born on October 15, 1947, is a multifaceted Turkish talent known for her work as an actress, singer, composer, and lyricist. She first garnered attention in the 1970s, where her musical contributions, including hits like "Kördüğüm," "Sessiz Gemi," and "Otuz Beş Yaş," solidified her status as a prominent figure in the Turkish music scene.
In the early 2000s, Hümeyra experienced a resurgence in popularity, particularly through her role in the sitcom "Avrupa Yakası" and her striking performance in Çağan Irmak's acclaimed film "My Father and My Son." Her musical evolution continued with albums such as "Tutkulardan İntihar" and "Beyhude," with "Tutkulardan İntihar" notably being one of the first Turkish rap songs.
Hümeyra's acting journey began on stage before transitioning to film, debuting with "Talihli Amele." A pivotal moment in her career came in 1986 when she received the prestigious Golden Orange for Best Supporting Actress at the Antalya Film Festival for her role in "Asiye Nasıl Kurtulur?"
