Donald Rumsfeld

He made history by serving as the 13th Secretary of Defense from 1975 to 1977 under President Gerald Ford and later as the 21st Secretary of Defense from 2001 to 2006 under President George W. Bush. Notably, Rumsfeld holds the distinction of being both the youngest and oldest individual to ever hold the Secretary of Defense position.
Rumsfeld's political career began with his election as a U.S. Congressman from Illinois, where he served four terms from 1962 to 1969.
