Timothy Brennen, originally named Timothy Abell, hails from Aurora, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. He adopted the surname Brennen upon joining the Screen Actors Guild. His journey into the performing arts began during his college years in Colorado, where he toured with a modern dance company. Timothy eventually settled in Boulder, thanks to a scholarship at The Nancy Spanier Dance Theatre, where he further honed his craft in both dance and improvisational comedy. It was during this time that he became a member of a comedy troupe called "Head Games," which he later took the reins of as director.

In 1996, Timothy made the pivotal move to Los Angeles, where he immersed himself in the prestigious Groundlings School. His dedication and talent shone through as he performed with the Sunday Company for a year and a half. In 2002, his hard work paid off when he was invited to join the Main Company of the esteemed Groundlings Comedy Troupe, solidifying his status as a prominent figure in the world of improvisational comedy. Today, Timothy Brennen continues to contribute to the vibrant comedy scene, drawing on his extensive background in both dance and theater.
