Annie Potts, born Anne Hampton Potts on October 28, 1952, is a distinguished American actress celebrated for her versatile performances across film and television. Her career took off with a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the 1978 film *Corvette Summer*. She garnered critical acclaim by winning a Genie Award for her performance in *Heartaches* (1981). Potts is perhaps best known for her appearances in iconic films such as *Ghostbusters* (1984), *Pretty in Pink* (1986), and its sequel *Ghostbusters II* (1989). She reprised her role as Janine Melnitz in *Ghostbusters: Afterlife* (2021) and is set to appear in the upcoming *Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire* (2024). Additionally, she lent her voice to the beloved character Bo Peep in the *Toy Story* series (1995, 1999, 2019) and various Disney video games.
