Léonide Massine

Léonide Massine, born Leonid Fyodorovich Myasin on August 9, 1896 (July 28 in the Julian calendar), was a prominent Russian choreographer and ballet dancer who left an indelible mark on the world of dance. Massine gained significant recognition in the 1920s as a principal dancer with the Ballets Russes, a revolutionary company founded by Sergei Diaghilev.
