Aliki Georgouli
Aliki Georgouli, born on December 22, 1931, in Athens, was a notable Greek actress whose contributions to theater and film left a lasting impact on the arts. She honed her craft at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory, making her theatrical debut in 1953 with George Bernard Shaw's play, *The Devil's Man*. Throughout her career, she frequently collaborated with esteemed actors like Manos Katrakis and Alekos Alexandrakis, whom she married in 1956; however, their union ended in divorce in 1965. Together, they appeared in numerous films.
Georgouli's cinematic journey began in the same year she debuted on stage, with her first film role in *Eva*, directed by Maria Plyta. Over her career, she starred in 15 films, including notable titles such as *The Boy Girl* (1959), *Elias the 16th* (1959), *Crime Behind the Scenes* (1960), *The Dream District* (1961), and *The Troupe* (1975).
In the years leading up to her untimely death from cancer on July 25, 1995, she was actively performing at the "Warehouse" theater in Psirri, Athens. Following her passing, she was buried at public expense in Zografou cemetery. Aliki Georgouli is survived by her son, Giorgos Kalfamanolis, a talented photographer.
