Rick Dutrow
Rick Dutrow's journey into the world of acting began in the second grade around 1970 when his homeroom teacher, Mrs. Vicini, cast him as King Pumpkin in a school musical she created. The show highlighted the adverse effects of the pesticide DDT on a vegetable garden, igniting Rick's passion for performance that would last a lifetime.
During the summer before his senior year of high school, Rick landed a role as Mercutio in Shakespeare's *Romeo and Juliet* at a dinner theater in the Pittsburgh area. At just 17, he was not only acting but also getting paid for it. This commitment, however, came at a cost; he had to inform his high school football coach that he would miss the season's first scrimmage due to his acting obligations. Although the coach was displeased, Rick continued to play football, ultimately earning a letter for his contributions, particularly as the team's reliable snapper.
Rick's acting career took root when he began performing in community theaters at age 12. He eventually pursued a degree in Theatrical Performance and made a name for himself on various stages across western Pennsylvania. In 2017, he made his entry into the Pittsburgh film industry.
In 2019, Rick married Stephanie Swift, a fellow actress from the Pittsburgh area. He is a proud father of three college students, humorously hoping for their continued support as he pursues his acting dreams.
