Andre Noble
Andre Clarence Noble was a talented Canadian actor renowned for his work in television and film. Born in Centreville, Newfoundland and Labrador, he pursued his passion for acting at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College in Corner Brook from 1997 to 2001. In 2001, Noble relocated to Toronto, Ontario, to further his acting career. During his time in the city, he made a significant impact through various television roles, films, and stage performances, and he was also a co-founder of the theatre group, The Young Company.
Noble's breakthrough came with his leading role in the Canadian romantic drama "Sugar," a film adapted from the works of Bruce La Bruce and directed by John Palmer. This performance positioned him as an emerging talent in the Canadian film industry. Tragically, his promising career was cut short when he succumbed to aconitine poisoning after accidentally ingesting monkshood during a hike on Fair Island, Newfoundland. He fell ill at his aunt's cabin and passed away while being transported to the hospital.
In honor of his legacy, Noble's family and friends established a scholarship fund in his name, dedicated to supporting students in the Theatre Department at the Sir Wilfred Grenfell College School of Fine Arts, ensuring that his memory and passion for the arts continue to inspire future generations.
