Duan Yihong
Duan Yihong (Chinese: 段奕宏; pinyin: Duàn Yìhóng), born on May 16, 1973, is a prominent Chinese actor celebrated for his performances in various acclaimed television dramas. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Yuan Lang in the 2006 series Soldiers Sortie, Long Wenzhang in My Chief and My Regiment (2009), and Hei Wa in White Deer Plain (2011).
Originally hailing from Yili in Xinjiang province, Duan faced challenges in his early career. In 1992 and 1993, he applied to the Central Academy of Drama but was unsuccessful. It wasn't until 1994, after being categorized as a third-degree candidate, that he was finally accepted. He completed his studies and graduated in 1998, subsequently joining the National Theatre Company of China.
Duan's career initially flourished in the realm of theater, where he took part in numerous productions, notably earning acclaim as a second-generation actor in the play Rhinoceros in Love. It was during this period that he adopted the stage name Duan Yihong. His dedication and talent have solidified his standing in the Chinese entertainment industry, making him a respected figure among peers and audiences alike.
