Sonali Bendre
Sonali Bendre was born in Mumbai into a Marathi-speaking Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu family. She received her education at Kendriya Vidyalaya Malleswaram and Holy Cross Convent High School in Thane, before completing her studies at Welham Girls School in Dehradun. On November 12, 2002, she married film director Goldie Behl, and three years later, on August 11, 2005, they welcomed their son, Ranveer, at Breach Candy Hospital.
Bendre began her career as a model and gained recognition after winning the "Star Dust Talent Search," which led her to Mumbai for training under esteemed actors in the Indian film industry. She made her acting debut in the film Aag (1994) alongside Govinda. Although the film did not perform well, her talent was recognized, earning her accolades such as the Filmfare Award for Best Newcomer and the Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
Despite initial challenges, Bendre garnered critical acclaim for her roles in films like Diljale (1996), Bhai (1997), Sarfarosh, Zakhm, and Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999). Notably, she has acted alongside all four leading Khans of Bollywood—Salman, Aamir, Shahrukh, and Saif. Additionally, her impressive work in South Indian cinema, featuring alongside stars like Mahesh Babu and Chiranjeevi, has contributed to her widespread popularity across diverse audiences, making her a well-respected figure in the international film landscape.
