Quique Camoiras
Enrique Pérez Camoiras, widely recognized as Quique Camoiras, was a prominent Spanish actor and theater entrepreneur born on December 7, 1927, in Madrid. He passed away on March 1, 2012, in Boadilla del Monte. Camoiras first showcased his talents as a dancer in Valencia during the Spanish Civil War, marking the beginning of his artistic journey. For 14 years, he balanced his passion for performance with a role as an administrative worker at the Instituto Nacional de Previsión, the precursor to INSALUD.
After the war, Camoiras made his mark on the stage at the now-defunct Teatro Fontalba in Madrid. His early film career began in 1942 when he appeared as a child actor, credited as Quiqui P. Camoiras, in "Rojo y negro." As a leading actor and theater manager, he became a fixture in Madrid’s theatrical landscape, performing extensively at venues such as La Latina and El Cómico.
Camoiras also ventured into television, where he hosted the popular comedy show "Humor cinco estrellas" on Telecinco, collaborating with fellow entertainer Juanito Navarro. His contributions to Spanish entertainment, particularly in humor and musical theater, have left a lasting legacy in the industry.
