Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, better known by her stage name Doja Cat, was born on October 21, 1995, in Los Angeles, California. She is a multifaceted talent recognized as a rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Doja Cat first ventured into music during her teenage years by sharing tracks on SoundCloud. Her breakout moment came when her song "So High" attracted the attention of Kemosabe and RCA Records, leading to a joint record deal at just 17 years old. In 2014, she released her debut EP, "Purrr!".
Although her initial studio album, "Amala," released in 2018, did not achieve significant commercial success, Doja Cat rebounded spectacularly with the viral hit "Mooo!", which humorously declared her identity as a cow. This newfound fame paved the way for her sophomore album, "Hot Pink" (2019), which reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200 and featured the chart-topping single "Say So," particularly after a remix with Nicki Minaj.
Her third album, "Planet Her," released in 2021, maintained her momentum, spending three weeks at number two on the Billboard 200 and producing multiple top 10 hits, including "Kiss Me More" featuring SZA.
