Meghan Ory
Meghan Ory, born on August 20, 1982, in Victoria, British Columbia, stands 5'7" (1.70 m) tall and is a prominent Canadian actress known for her work in television and film. She gained recognition for her role as Red Riding Hood/Ruby Lucas in the ABC fantasy series Once Upon a Time, and is currently featured in the CBS drama Intelligence as Riley Neal.
Ory's educational journey included attending Royal Oak Middle School and Claremont Secondary School. In 1996, she was honored with the Fine Arts Award for Acting from Royal Oak, which propelled her to pursue acting professionally. Her debut came in 1999 with a role in the Fox Family Channel movie The Darklings, alongside Suzanne Somers and Timothy Busfield. This was followed by a guest spot in The Crow: Stairway to Heaven and a regular role on the Fox Family series Higher Ground in 2000, where she starred alongside Hayden Christensen and A.J. Cook. Ory's career continued to flourish with roles in the MTV series 2ge+her and the Canadian series Vampire High in 2001.
Her television credits expanded to include shows like The Outer Limits, Dark Angel, and Smallville, along with appearances in TV movies such as Lucky 7. In 2004, she made her feature film debut in Decoys. Ory's notable appearances continued through the years, culminating in her major role in Once Upon a Time starting in 2011. In March 2013, she was cast as the lead in the CBS drama pilot Intelligence, working alongside Josh Holloway. Outside of her professional life, Ory has been close friends with actress A.J. Cook since age 17 and married actor John Reardon in 2008, her co-star from Merlin's Apprentice.
