Josh Cribbs

Josh Cribbs carved out a remarkable NFL career as a dynamic return specialist and wide receiver, known for his explosive speed and game-changing ability on special teams. After an impressive college tenure at Kent State University, where he showcased his versatility as a quarterback and returner, Cribbs went undrafted in 2005. The Cleveland Browns quickly signed him as a free agent, a move that would prove to be one of the franchise’s smartest acquisitions.

Cribbs became a fan favorite in Cleveland, earning three Pro Bowl selections (2007, 2009, 2010) and two First-Team All-Pro honors. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest kick returners in NFL history. Among his many achievements, Cribbs tied the NFL record with eight career kickoff return touchdowns and set the league mark for most kickoff return touchdowns in a single season (three in 2009). He also holds the Browns’ franchise record for all-purpose yards.

Beyond returns, Cribbs contributed as a wide receiver, wildcat quarterback, and occasional punter, underscoring his versatility. His tenure with the Browns (2005–2012) defined his legacy, though he later played briefly for the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts.
