Jessica Darrow was born on January 7, 1995, in Miami, Florida, and she proudly embraces her Cuban heritage. During her teenage years, she enjoyed the music of Lin-Manuel Miranda and became a fan of Disney movies. Darrow made her cinematic debut as Sarah in the 2019 movie Feast of the Seven Fishes, helmed by director Robert Tinnell. Her big break came in 2021 when she lent her voice to the character Luisa Madrigal in Disney's animated hit Encanto. In this role, she performed one of the film's standout tracks, "Surface Pressure," which achieved significant acclaim, earning platinum certification from the RIAA and reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 2022. Additionally, Darrow contributed her voice to the character Mimi in the 2021 update of Grand Theft Auto Online titled "Los Santos Tuners."
