Vivek Mahbubani

Vivek Mahbubani, a talented bilingual stand-up comedian hailing from Hong Kong, entertains audiences in both Cantonese and English. His comedic journey began to take shape when he won the title of Funniest Person (in Chinese) in Hong Kong in 2007, followed by a triumph in the English category at the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition the following year in 2008.

Recognized as one of Hong Kong's leading comedians, Vivek earned international acclaim when he was named one of the top ten comedians in the Annual Funniest Person in the World Competition by the renowned Laugh Factory in 2014. His talent was further showcased in 2015 when he was selected to represent Asia at the inaugural “Comedy Zone Asia” during the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

In 2016, Vivek made waves in the comedy scene by appearing in Comedy Central’s inaugural “Stand Up Asia!” shows, solidifying his reputation on a larger platform.

As the world navigated the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Vivek adeptly shifted his performances to the virtual realm, bringing laughter to audiences through online video meetings.
