Scott Takeda
Scott Takeda, a native of Colorado, embarked on his career in the television industry in 1990 as a news reporter for KIDK in Pocatello, Idaho. His journey through various newsrooms saw him working in Ohio at WTOL, followed by positions in Denver at KCNC, and ultimately in Philadelphia with WPHL, where he transitioned into a producer-photojournalist role. Throughout his tenure as a TV journalist, Takeda garnered significant recognition, winning multiple regional Emmy Awards and earning the title of "Photographer of the Year" on two occasions.
In 1995, he became a key contributor to "News-for-Kids," producing segments for the acclaimed Emmy-winning children's program over three seasons. During this period, he also launched his own production company, through which he created the impactful documentary "The Holocaust: Colorado Remembers." His production company has earned him more than thirty national Telly Awards and the prestigious Gold World Medal at the New York Festivals.
Takeda made his mark in acting in 2001 with his role as Sgt. Tai Lee in the Animal Planet series "Busted." Currently, he thrives in his dual creative roles as both an actor and a producer-writer, continuing to reside in his home state of Colorado. His diverse career reflects his passion for storytelling and dedication to the craft of visual media.
