Christy Canyon

Christy Canyon, a captivating blend of Armenian and Italian heritage, embarked on her independent journey at the tender age of 17, juggling two part-time jobs after leaving home. In 1984, her life took a pivotal turn when she crossed paths with adult film star Greg Rome, who connected her with Jim South, a prominent agent at World Modeling Agency. Under South's mentorship, Christy quickly made her mark in the adult film industry, featuring in exotic photo shoots and a notable project for Swedish Erotica alongside Ron Jeremy. By the mid-1980s, she had risen to prominence as a leading figure in adult cinema.

During the peak of her career, Christy was under contract with Vivid Entertainment, balancing a demanding work schedule as an exotic dancer while also earning a degree in Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Her popularity was further solidified when she was named the F.O.X.E. Female Fan Favorite in both 1991 and 1992.

In 2003, she penned a successful memoir titled *Lights, Camera, Sex!*, and after retiring from on-screen performances, she transitioned to radio, becoming a daily host on Sirius Satellite's Playboy Radio program "Night Calls." Christy also co-hosted "Spice Sex Circus" with Ginger Lynn, which featured the engaging "Legends of Porn" segment.

Her accolades include the 1996 AVN Best Tease Performance Comeback and the 1997 AVN Best Group Scene for *The Show*, along with memberships in the AVN Hall of Fame, Legends of Erotica Hall of Fame, and XRCO Hall of Fame.
