Deepak Verma

Deepak Verma, a talented actor and producer, honed his craft at the Central School of Speech and Drama. He made his acting debut in 1992 with the Scottish detective series Taggart. However, he is most renowned for his role as Sanjay Kapoor in the acclaimed BBC soap opera EastEnders, which he played from 1993 to 1998. Verma's character was pivotal in several dramatic plotlines, including the tumultuous collapse of his marriage to Gita, portrayed by Shobu Kapoor, due to his affair with her sister. This storyline was further intensified when Sanjay faced false accusations regarding Gita's murder, culminating in the couple’s departure from Walford amid media frenzy.

After concluding his time on EastEnders, Verma ventured into production by founding Pukkanasha Films. His company aims to create a diverse array of innovative films, blending cultural narratives from both Indian and Western backgrounds.
