Kalyani Priyadarshan
Kalyani Priyadarshan, born on April 5, 1993, is a prominent Indian actress who has made her mark in the Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu film sectors. As the daughter of renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan and actress Lissy, Kalyani initially ventured into the film industry in a behind-the-scenes capacity. She gained valuable experience as an assistant production designer for major projects such as Krrish 3 (2013) and Iru Mugan (2016) after honing her architectural design skills in New York and interning at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.
Her on-screen journey began with the Telugu movie Hello (2017), where she starred alongside Akhil Akkineni, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. This milestone opened the door to a series of successful projects, including Chitralahari (2019) and Ranarangam (2019).
Kalyani made her entry into Tamil cinema with the film Hero (2019) and subsequently transitioned to Malayalam films with Varane Avashyamund (2020), where she shared the screen with notable actors like Dulquer Salmaan and Shobana. The film’s commercial success played a crucial role in establishing her career.
