Apasiri Nitibhon, affectionately known as Um, is a prominent Thai supermodel and actress, celebrated for her striking beauty and talent. Born into a creative family, she is the younger sister of Amarin Nitibhon, a well-known Thai singer and actor. Apasiri embarked on her journey in the entertainment realm at the age of 18 after winning the 'Trend Setter' contest, quickly establishing herself in the modeling scene. With her distinctive features and impressive height of 173 centimeters, she became a notable figure in the 1990s, gracing the covers of numerous magazines.
At 25, Apasiri transitioned into acting, making her debut in the film 'Sunset at Chaopraya' in 1995, where she played the character Angsumalin. Her early training in likay, a traditional Thai dance form, enriched her performances. In the 2006 film 'The Victim', she took on the role of a beauty queen who showcases her likay dancing skills, necessitating a refresher course in Thai classical dance to authentically portray her character.
